RESOURCE: The Night Before Practice Checklist
Have you ever found yourself forgetting all.the.things. for sports practice? Share the responsibility of preparing for sports with your child using this easy-to-follow checklist! Print it out, keep it on the fridge, or save it on your phone to use to prepare the night before every practice and start your mornings feeling organized and (maybe) a little less chaotic.
Gear & Equipment
✔️ Uniform or practice clothes (jersey, shorts, socks, etc.)
✔️ Proper shoes (cleats, sneakers, etc.)
✔️ Any required protective gear (shin guards, mouthguard, helmet, etc.)
✔️ Sport-specific equipment (ball, bat, stick, gloves, etc.)
If you want your child to try sports without having to buy all the uniforms, protective gear, and equipment, you would love Inclyousion Sports! Just dress your child in their favorite comfortable clothes and shoes and show up. We provide all the equipment and no uniform is required, though we do sell some fun gear here :)
Hydration & Snacks
✔️ Water bottle (filled & ready to go)
✔️ Healthy snack for after practice (find some new ideas here!)
Health & Safety
✔️ Sunscreen (if outdoors)
✔️ Bug spray (if buggy outdoor area)
✔️ Hair ties/headbands (if needed)
✔️ Any necessary medications (inhaler, EpiPen, etc.)
✔️ Small first aid kit (band-aids, athletic tape) - usually your coach will have one if you don’t
Extras
✔️ Jacket or hoodie (for colder weather)
✔️ Any additional supports that your child may use to have a successful experience
Before Leaving the House
✔️ Eat a balanced pre-practice meal or snack
✔️ Use the restroom
✔️ Double-check bag for all essentials
