OUR WHY
The Power of Play
Playing team sports sets the stage for learning crucial life lessons through an engaging, natural setup. Children discover effective communication as they call out positions and cheer on friends. Friendships formed around sports often develop into deep connections that can last a lifetime.
Some of the most meaningful rewards come from witnessing shy or quiet children "come out of their shell" and begin sharing their confidence found through play. As children learn new skills and work as a team, empathy emerges through appreciating different skill levels when sports are approached as a place to play and learn rather than compete against one another.
Our athletes learn to celebrate all big and small accomplishments of their peers. Their encouragement and support of one another helps to build confidence and improve skills individually while improving their progress as a team.
When introduced to teamwork through sports, kids gain social-emotional intelligence, confidence, and friendships that last for years to come. That is the profound power of play– and we can’t wait for you to join us.
Why we welcome children of all abilities:
We wholeheartedly believe bringing children together on fair playing fields is the best path towards a future society rich with empathy, dignity and respect for human diversity in all its wonderful forms. That makes our programs' vital mission especially close to our hearts.
EXPOSURE & ACCEPTANCE
Children learn disability is a natural part of humanity. Interacting with peers of varying abilities fosters understanding and compassion.
Self-esteem & belonging
Athletes of all kinds find pride in meaningfully contributing alongside friends, developing life skills as respected individuals rather than labels.
Life lessons in diversity
Teamwork emerges through appreciating teammates' differences as assets, not barriers. Kids embrace that victory comes from supporting each other's strengths.
Safety in numbers
Children with disabilities thrive amidst peers consistently championing inclusion, experience beloved rite of passages together rather than observer status.
Breaking stigmas
When inclusive communities are normalized from an early age, biases melt away through meaningful relationships where character shines beyond physical forms.
Fun + progress at any pace
A supportive fabric empowers all hearts to follow curiosities wherever they lead, cultivating confidence freely rather than competition rigidly.
