The visual schedule and repetition of doing the same thing each week is perfect for her to be more and more comfortable every week as she can anticipate exactly what is going to happen. She is encouraged to participate to the best of her ability and accepted when she wants to do her own thing. All of the programs are great (and the staff are all amazing!!) but we have been really enjoying the dance/movement program with Ms Carly as my daughter loves music and looks forward to going each week! InclYOUsion Sports is great for both neurodivergent and neurotypical kids alike. As I watch all of my friends’ post photos on social media of their kids’ activities, it is so nice to have a place for my daughter to go as well!”

I told him to ask for help. Coach Greg came over and hand over hand was able to get him to throw the ball on the wall and catch it with the scooper! He was so happy and so proud of himself! “We are so grateful that we heard about Inclyousion Sports last fall! Our five year old son Collin has autism and does not have a lot of verbal language yet. We wanted to give him the experience of playing group sports but weren't sure if there was a program that was the right fit for his needs. We knew from the first class that this program is unique and would be a great experience for him. The coaches do an excellent job providing a visual schedule, written schedule, and developmentally appropriate routines. We are thrilled that Collin has had the opportunity to try many different sports since we started the program (soccer, baseball, football, hockey, track & field, and tennis). “When we first received our diagnosis for our son a million big worries immediately flooded our minds. For us those began to slowly fade as we learned what he needed and created a team to help support him and give him the best opportunities for growth. He quickly taught us that he is a resilient and strong little guy and would be our leader through this journey. As the initial overwhelming worry faded, small experiences and realizations would sometimes be the biggest blow and toss us right back to those big feelings we had earlier on. Whether it be seeing him next to a peer his age and seeing how giant the gap really is, sitting in our first IEP meeting and seeing it all written out in front of us or the day we realized typical sports would likely not be in his future. And then we stumbled upon Inclyousion Sports and that worry has once again faded. There is something to be said about being surrounded by a community of people who just "get it". The instant acceptance, the willingness to adapt and flow with his needs, the calm friendly demeanor of all the coaches. And just like that our guy was living an experience just months prior we weren't sure he would ever have.
